The Best Buy Visa card is shown as earning cash back in the "Best Card" view of the app (see first screenshot attached), but this is inaccurate. The card actually earns points that can be converted into either Best Buy reward certificates or gift cards at a variety of stores. The points are worth 2 cpp when converted into Best Buy reward certificates or gift cards, but worth 1 cpp when converted into any other type of gift card (see second screenshot, from https://mybestbuyredemptionsite.com/ ). The earning rates are as follows: 2.5x points at Best Buy 1.5x points for gas 1x points for restaurants and groceries 0.5x points on all other purchases. Best Buy advertises this as "5% back in rewards" on Best Buy purchases, 3% on gas, etc. However, if the points are redeemed for non-Best Buy gift cards, their value is actually 2.5%, 1.5%, 1%, and 0.5%.
