This app does not do the Citi custom cash any justice, and it is aggravating because it is my favorite card. When looking at “best card” Citi custom cash just shows up as a 1% cash back card. The card earns you 5% cash back on up to $500 in your highest spend category each statement. I use this card at gas stations. The max rewards app should track this and be able to tell me that the custom cash is the best for gas stations. Instead it tells me to use my Costco anywhere card which only earns 4%. I paid for a year of gold by accident and now I am disappointed that the app doesn’t understand the Citi custom cash.
